Aeromobilia
Our client came to us needing an eCommerce website to sell high-end Ferrari, Aviation and Automobile memorabilia. We had 30 days to get the site up and running. What we feel differentiates Aeromobilia from it’s competitor’s websites is the quality of the photography and the detailed descriptions. Both necessary when dealing in high end merchandise like this.
While we enabled purchasing online via paypal, we thought it wasn’t worth the expense to set up a merchant account since we foresaw the need to talk one on one with potential customers given the price of the items. You’re not going to find too many people who will put $10,000 on their credit card for a Ferrari tool kit without talking with the seller first.
This model worked out perfectly. We were able to drive conversation and requests for information which often led to sales. Of the $35,000 + that has been sold on the site, only one item had been purchased without a conversation via email or phone.
