Proud Pittsburgh Website
ProudPittsburgh was started in 2005 around a series of tag lines that remind the people of Pittsburgh why they should be proud of their city. For the website, we traveled to Pittsburgh to take the photography for the website and made available desktop wallpapers for download. An eCommerce section was set up to sell t-shirts, sweatshirts and stickers and a blog was set up to post news. A flash header was created highlighting the tag line “Pittsburgh, we’re not Manhattan, we just built it“. We know that having Flash intro’s to websites is an SEO killer, so we opted to included it in the header of the page, instead of as an intro to the site.
We realize the website needs a serious updated/refreshed design but the idea of the company is great and the photography is beautiful, so we thought we’d share. Coming in 2010 a new Proud Pittsburgh website!!
